External Release Notes: Web UI (July 8, 2026)
New Features and Enhancements
Smoother Search Experience with Infinite Scroll
Egnyte has improved the search experience by replacing pagination with infinite scroll. Additional results now load automatically as users scroll toward the bottom of the page. This eliminates the need to click through pagination controls, making it easier to review large result sets, maintain context, and find relevant results more efficiently.
HTML Preview
Users can now preview rendered HTML files (up to 10MB) directly within Egnyte. It is available in the Full View, Quick View and shared link preview.
To assure high security standards, all scripts and references to web resources are stripped on render.
UI Updates for Microsoft Co-Editing Rebranding
Egnyte has updated its UI to align with the latest Microsoft co-editing requirements. References to Microsoft Office have been updated to Microsoft 365, and references to Microsoft Office Online have been updated to Microsoft 365 for the web. These updates are reflected across the web and Desktop app, including all create and edit menus along with app names in Apps & Integrations.
Role-Based Permissions for Migration and Replication Users (Limited Availability)
Egnyte now offers configurable role-based permissions for Migration and Replication users in Secure & Govern. Admins can configure these capabilities in the Web UI for migration and replication users as per their roles enabling them with the permissions to create and manage migrations or replications and true-ups. The available permissions dynamically adjust based on the selected scope, ensuring that only applicable permissions are available for configuration.
This feature is applicable for customers with Unified User Directory Management for Collaborate and Secure & Govern enabled.
- Unified user director management for Collaborate and Secure & Govern is currently in Limited Availability for all customers with only one Egnyte Content Source active in Secure & Govern. To request this feature, contact our Products team.
Improvements in Metadata Sorting
When browsing by tags, Egnyte now preserves custom order for Enum data type and alphabetical sorting for labels, multi-value enum, and multi-value strings.
