Quick View helps users work more efficiently by reducing the need to open files or navigate away from the current screen. It enables users to review content in a convenient manner making everyday file management simpler and more effective, especially when working with multiple files at a time.
This feature is currently available on Business, Enterprise Lite, Enterprise, Starter, Essentials, Elite and Ultimate plans. Contact the Egnyte account manager or Egnyte Sales team for more information.
File Options in Quick View
Click on the file icon to open it in Quick View.
Edit the File
- Open the file in Quick View and click on the Edit option.
- Select the available editor and continue to edit the file.
Share the File
- Open the file in Quick View and click on the Share option.
- Select the access type and link properties, and share the file with the target user(s).
Copy Direct Link
Open the file in Quick View and click on the direct link icon. The direct link will be copied for sharing.
Download the File
Open the file in Quick View and click on the Download icon to download the file.
Use Egnyte Sign
Users can send the file for signature or create a signing template. To do this, open the file in Quick View and click on the Egnyte Sign icon. Select the desired option from the dropdown.
Egnyte Sign is available for all customers with the PDF File Handler Add-On. Domains without the add-on will not see the Egnyte Sign icon in Quick View. Contact the Egnyte account manager or Egnyte Sales team for more information.
Access the Context Menu
Open the file in Quick View and click on the three-dots icon to access the context menu. Take the desired action from the available options.
Full View
Open the file in Quick View, then select Full View to open the file in full view with its preview and available options displayed.
Summarize the File
- Open the file in Quick View and click on the Summarize this file option.
- The summary of the file will be generated. Users with the Copilot add-on can click on the Continue in Copilot option to continue interacting with the document in Egnyte Copilot.
File Actions
The following file actions are available for the users in Quick View:
- Zoom out (–) – Reduces the zoom level to view more of the page at once
- Zoom in (+) – Increases the zoom level for a closer view of content
- Pan – Lets users click and drag to move around the document when zoomed in
- Select – Enables selecting content or areas within the document
