Cloud migration feature enables the customers to migrate their data seamlessly from cloud sources to Egnyte. The migration process is carried out through a well designed cloud migration wizard.
Users can click on the Migrate & Replicate option in the left menu in Secure & Govern. The existing migration jobs will be listed in the Migrate tab. Users can Add source or Create job.
When the users create a new migration job, a step-by-step wizard appears for them to create the job.
Prerequisites
- The end-user must have a Secure & Govern Tenant
- The desired cloud service should be added as a Content Source in Secure & Govern
Common Use Cases
- Migrating data to Egnyte such as sites, portals, sub-sites, shared documents, and others
- Migrating user data to Egnyte such as private data to Egnyte private folders

Limitations
- Permissions cannot be migrated
- Egnyte allows an unlimited number of migration jobs. However, a maximum of 50 jobs can be run concurrently at any given time. Try finalizing the active jobs in case of an error
- Migration should not exceed the hard limits of 5TB in data size or 5 million objects for a single migration job
