Single Sign-On (SSO) Configuration

Follow

Egnyte currently integrates with several Single Sign-On (SSO) service providers. The user guides below will walk you through the process of setting up SSO access for your Egnyte account.

Only Admins and Power Users can be externally authenticated via SSO

Any identity provider using SAML 2.0 should support access via Egnyte's Web UI, Mobile Apps, Desktop App, Desktop Sync, and Outlook. SSO configuration for Desktop Sync access requires a few additional steps. Please read the how-to here

Google SSO is also supported as an alternative to SAML providers. Google SSO is different from other providers in that it requires no special configuration outside of setting the Single sign-on authentication setting to Google Apps in Egnyte. As long as the email address of the user in Egnyte corresponds to a Google account (this includes gmail.com addresses and Google Apps email addresses) and their authentication type in Egnyte is set to 'SSO', they can sign in to Egnyte using Google.

*If you do not see your SSO provider on this list, please contact support@egnyte.com. We are able to work with any SSO provider that is SAML 2.0 compliant.
