Egnyte’s migration process generates several reports to provide insights into the progress and results of data migrations. These reports include detailed information to help users ensure successful migrations and address any issues that arise.

Migration Summary Report
This report provides a high-level overview of the migration process. It highlights key metrics such as:
- Total files and folders migrated
- Volume of data transferred
- Success and failure rates
- Time taken for the migration

Data Migration Report
The Data Migration Report, CSV contains a list of all the files that were successfully migrated as part of copy or sync commands. The report is updated on the local disk after the completion of copy or sync command and is also uploaded to the destination domain.
The report consists of the details including:
- Source and destination paths
- File sizes and types
- Migration timestamps
- Status of individual files (for example successful, failed, or skipped)
This report is invaluable for troubleshooting issues and ensuring data consistency.
Permission Migration Report
This report contains a list of NTFS permissions and the converted permissions that were successfully migrated to Egnyte. Key details include:
- Original and updated permission structures
- Users and groups impacted
- Any permissions that failed to transfer
By reviewing this report, administrators can validate that access controls are correctly replicated in the target environment.
Sanitization Reports
Sanitization Reports document changes made to the data to meet the requirements of the destination system. These changes may include:
- File name modifications to comply with naming conventions
- Removal of unsupported characters
- Adjustments to path lengths
The report contains a list of source files and folders that were renamed along with the corresponding newly renamed paths. This report ensures transparency about modifications and helps address any discrepancies in the migration.
Scan Reports
These reports can be downloaded from the /Shared/Migrations folder in Egnyte. There will be zipped files named ‘cmmagent_migration_reports_<migrationid>_v<agent-version>’ for each Migration Job. After downloading and unzipping, users can navigate to the Scan folder to view the reports.
List of Files and Folders Identified in Scan
The report includes the list of paths looked up during scan including all folders and files. The name of this report is in the format as: cmmagent_<migration-id>_<timestamp>_v<agent-version>.csv.

List of Files and Folders with Size and Modification Time
The report can be referred to migrate data and true-up’s data from source to destination. The report comprises the path and object name with size and modification time. Following details are present in this report with respect to scanned content at source:
- Path: Path of file or folder
- IsDir: True for folder and False for files
- Filename: Name of the file or folder scanned
- Size: Size of file if path is a file, otherwise -1 for folder
- ModTime: Date and time when the file was updated, such as Wed Oct 15 21:39:01 IST 2025
The name of the report is in the format as: scan_<migration-id>_<timestamp>_v<agent-version>.csv.

Empty Folders Scan Report
The report includes the list of empty folders scanned with their respective modification time. It can then be used to create empty folders from source to destination. The report comprises the following details:
- Full path: Full path of empty folder at source.
- Relative path: Path of empty folder relative to source path of migration job.
- ModTime: Date and time when the folder was updated
The name of the report is in the format as: empty_folder_<migration-id>_<timestamp>_v<agent-version>.csv.

Future Timestamp Paths Report
The report consists of the list of files having a future timestamp. It can be used to update future timestamp if timestamp modification option is selected during data migration and true ups. The report comprises the following details:
- FullPath: Full path of file having future timestamp.
- ModTime: Future date and time when this folder updated
The name of the report is in the format as: future_timestamp_<migration-id>_<timestamp>_v<agent-version>.csv.

Inaccessible Paths Report
The report consists of the list of paths that were inaccessible at the source.
The name of the report is in the format as:
files_on_unavailable_path_<migration-id>_<timestamp>_v<agent-version>.csv unaccessible_folder_paths_<migration-id>_<timestamp>_v<agent-version>.csv

Status Reports
On the Fly Rename Report
The report includes information for sanitized paths if sanitize on the fly is enabled. It can be used to determine path mapping details for sanitize on the fly reports. The report comprises the following details:
- Source Path (Relative to Root): Path at source relative to source path of migration job.
- Destination Path: Corresponding destination path of file
- Operation: Update operation type of the object, such as copy, delete, and likewise
- Request ID: Request id for the operation with which the operation is performed on Egnyte
- Timestamp: Update time stamp
- Source Checksum: Checksum value at source
- Destination Checksum: Checksum value at destination
The name of the file is in the format as: on_the_fly_rename_<migration-id>_<timestamp>_v<agent-version>.csv.

Success Report for Files Uploaded
The report contains a list of the successfully uploaded files with their paths.The report can be used for mapping between the source and the destination.
The report includes the following details:
- Source Path (Relative to Root): Path at source relative to source path of migration job.
- Destination Path: Corresponding destination path of file
- Operation: Update operation type of the object, such as copy, delete, and likewise
- Request ID: Request id for the operation with which the operation is performed on Egnyte
- Timestamp: Update time stamp
- Source Checksum: Checksum value at source
- Destination Checksum: Checksum value at destination

Success Report for Empty Folders
The report consists of relative paths which are created at the source for empty folders. The report can be referred to determine the list of empty folder paths at destination.

Validation Reports
Validation reports compare source and destination data and lists out the discrepancies.
This report provides a list of mismatched and missing files for a migration job, along with remarks for each discrepant file, making it easier to understand necessary actions.

PFFL (Partial File Folder List) for Status
PFFL of Destination
The report includes metadata of files from destination. The details in the report can be used for true-ups. The report comprises the following details:
- Path: Destination path with filename
- IsDir: Empty value for the current files, True for empty folders
- FileName: Name of the file; however this can be empty as filename is available with path
- Size: Size of file
- ModTime: Last updated time for file
- Hash: Checksum for file
The name of the file is in the format as: pffl_egnytecontrolplane_<migration-id>_<timestamp>_v<agent-version>.csv.

Diff Plus
The report contains the paths for all the files that exist on the source (new/added/updated) but not on the destination.
The details in the report can be used to update the paths at the destination.
The name of the file is in the format as: diff+_<migration-id>_<timestamp>_v<agent-version>.csv.
For Example: diff+_TyhLI6uD4PhrXCx6MDYh_11042025174055_v3.51.0.csv
Diff Minus
The report contains the paths for all the files that do not exist on the source (new/added/updated) but exist on the destination.
The details in the report can be used to delete the paths from destination if sync delete is enabled.
The name of the file is in the format as: diff-_<migration-id>_<timestamp>_v<agent-version>.csv.

Project Files
Path Accessing Issue Files
The report contains paths that encountered access-related errors. The details can be referred to determine the cause of inaccessibility. The report comprises the following details:
- Path: Paths that have an access issue
- Error: Issue for inaccessibility to the path
