External Release Notes: iOS Mobile App v 9.0.0 (October 6, 2025)
New Features and Improvements
User Homepage on iOS
The Egnyte iOS Mobile App introduces a new customizable homepage. It provides quick access to frequently used files, tasks, and tools, reducing navigation time.
The homepage includes widgets for Files & Folders, Recent Files, Egnyte Copilot, Tasks, Smart Upload, and Recent Project Folders. Widgets can be added, hidden, reordered, and resized. Users may also adjust the homepage theme.
The feature is supported on iOS 18 or later. The Egnyte Copilot, Recent Projects, and Smart Upload widgets are only visible and available to customers whose current Egnyte plan includes these features.
Offline Tab Update
The Offline tab has been redesigned to align with the app’s overall look and feel, providing a consistent experience with other views. For the best experience, it is recommended that offline files and folders be marked again after the new app version is installed.
Updated Storage and Network Policies (General Availability)
Storage and network policies have been updated to align with modern connectivity standards and to better accommodate today's devices. This change is now available to all users and provides more control over downloads.
Users can now allocate 2 GB, 10 GB, or unlimited storage for downloads. Additionally, file size warnings can be set for files over 100 MB or 500 MB, or turned off entirely.
Select Capability for Offline View (Limited Availability)
A Select capability has been added to the Offline view, which allows for the management of multiple files and folders at once.
A new visual indicator for auto-update, and enhanced options to enable or disable it has also been added.
This provides a clear visual for file and folder-level control. Additionally, subfolders can now be marked for auto-update at the same time their parent folders are marked for offline access.
The Offline Folder Auto-update feature is currently in Limited Availability. To request this feature, contact our Products team.
