New Features and Enhancements
Improvements in Prompt Library
Egnyte has made significant improvements to the Prompt Library in Ask to make finding, managing, and creating prompts more intuitive and efficient.
The library now includes new categories: All, By Egnyte, Custom Prompts, My Prompts, Favorites, and Trending Now. Users can now easily view the prompts they create under My Prompts. The Trending Now section highlights the most popular prompts within the domain.
Additional updates include improved role-based permissions for better control, the ability to create prompts directly from the library, and smarter prioritization that displays new and trending prompts first, followed by other prompts.
Option to Decline E-signature Requests
Egnyte now allows users to decline e-signature requests when necessary, giving them greater control over the signing process. This helps ensure that documents are reviewed thoroughly, keeps processes efficient, and supports better collaboration by allowing any needed adjustments before final approval.
Egnyte Sign is available as part of the PDF File Handler Add-On. Contact the account manager or Egnyte Sales team to get access to this feature.
Team Management - Easier Access Control, Permissions Handling, and Collaboration
Team Management is a powerful feature designed to enhance transparency, and productivity within the team.
With Team Management, it gets easier to identify which users and groups have access to which resources in a project folder or document room. The user can also modify or remove permissions and add new users or groups from Team Management.
The feature was previously available to a limited number of customers and has now been made generally available.
- Team Management feature is available to all customers who have Projects in their plans such as Platform Enterprise Lite, Platform Enterprise, Life Science, and GxP plans as well as plans having the Project Hub enabled.
- These changes will be gradually rolled out to customers over the next 2 weeks.
Permissions Change for Project Folder Creation & Updates
Previously, creating or updating a Project in Egnyte required Owner permissions. This has now been simplified, and users with Full permissions can now create Projects or update Project settings.
UI Update - Desktop Mass Configurations
A UI update has been implemented in the Desktop Configuration Settings wherein Allow users to add drives label has been updated to Allow users to manage drives.
Issues Addressed
Issue in Microsoft Email Server Integration
There was an issue preventing the Microsoft email server integration from being enabled. When users attempted to authorize, they were redirected to the authorization page, but upon closing it, the status did not update to show as authorized.
UI Issue in Custom Logo
The custom logo on the two-factor authentication page had a low resolution, resulting in a blurry appearance.
Issue in File Version Limits
There was an issue where a file had multiple versions exceeding the configured domain version limit. There were no retention policies applicable in this case.
