New Features and Enhancements
Next Generation Adaptive and Automated Workflows
Egnyte’s next generation workflows offer the following new capabilities that empower users to design intelligent document processes that automatically adapt to content and conditions, eliminating the need for manual triage or intervention.
- The Graphical Workflow Builder gives users a visual canvas to design, build, and manage workflows from end to end. The entire workflow is visible on screen as it takes shape, making it easy to follow the logic, spot gaps, and make changes for building complex business processes.
- The Decision step (Conditional Logic) allows customers to execute workflows based on specific criteria. Instead of every document following the same fixed path, workflows can branch based on conditions, such as file type, size, who uploaded the document, the workflow creator, and metadata tags.
- The Agent Step allows users to use any of the preconfigured agents for the domain. The agent reads the document and understands its content and can automate time-consuming repetitive tasks for users.
- Decision (Conditional Logic) and Agent Step are available to the customers on Elite or Ultimate plans. Contact the Egnyte account manager or Egnyte Sales team for more information.
- Decision (Conditional Logic) and Agent Step are not available for GxP domains and will be made available in a future update.
Quick View for Links Shared and Received
Users now have the ability to quickly view the file link shared and received. This provides quicker visibility into shared content, making it easier to access files, verify sharing activity, and manage links.
Quick View is currently available on Platform Business, Enterprise Lite, Enterprise, Starter, Essentials, Elite and Ultimate plans. Contact the Egnyte account manager or Egnyte Sales team for more information.
Pin Projects to Top in Project Center
Users can now pin or unpin projects directly from the Project Center or the Project Dashboard, with pinned projects automatically appearing at the top of the Project Center list. This provides quicker access to frequently used projects, reducing time spent searching and helping teams stay focused on priority work.
This feature is available for all customers that have Projects enabled. Contact the Egnyte account manager or Egnyte Sales team for more information.
Right-to-Left (RTL) Layout Support with Arabic and Hebrew Localisation
Egnyte now supports right-to-left (RTL) layout, with full Arabic and Hebrew translations. Users with Arabic or Hebrew set as their language will see the interface mirrored to RTL reading order alongside the localized text.
Language Pack is currently available in Beta. To enable the Language Pack (Beta) for your domain, contact the Egnyte Product team and request activation. Please note that by opting in, you acknowledge and accept the beta status of this functionality.
Issues Addressed
Error While Editing Shortcut Documents from Quick View
The users were encountering an error when editing a shortcut document from Quick View. The same document could be edited successfully from other views.
Required Signature Fields and Signature Display Order in Egnyte Sign
There was an issue with Egnyte Sign where a signer was able to complete signing without applying a signature to a required field, and the completed document displayed signatures in an incorrect visual order. However, the audit log confirmed the correct signing sequence.
Folder Options API
In the Folder Options API where updating folder move and delete restrictions did not apply the requested setting, even though the request appeared to complete successfully.
