Managing the links shared or received from other users is of significant importance. The Links dashboard helps effectively organizing these links.
This feature is only available to domains that have file sharing turned on and available to their users. It is turned on by default but there is the option to turn it off. Click here to learn more about Share Settings.
If all the link sharing options are disabled, Links Dashboard shows up as an option in the left menu; however, it displays the following message when opened.

The Links dashboard includes all active share links on the domain. This includes both upload and download links. Click Links in the left menu to view the dashboard.
Links contain both links that a user has Shared and Received. Direct Links are not included in this dashboard.

View Details
The user can also hover over the link to access the View Details option:
When the user clicks on View Details after hovering over a link, a dialog window appears.
Users can see the name of the link and the path along with the options to open the link, go to folder, and delete link.
The View Details dialog also shows the name of link creator, recipients, date and timeframe of link creation, users who have access to the link, number of link views, link expiration details, whether downloads, co-editing, and watermarking is enabled or disabled for the link, notifications, and link path.
If the user enabled the Notify me when link is clicked option while creating the link, they can click on the Details option to find additional details about where the link was accessed from. Depending on who accessed the link (Egnyte domain user or non-user), they may be able to see their name and general information about when and where the link was accessed.
The user can also add or modify the link expiry date. Just click Edit next to the expiration information and click Save once done.
You can also update link notification preferences and find the link address here.
Links Received
Within the Received tab, users can filter results by Link Status as well as Created By.
- User can filter and choose to view Any (default), Active, or Expired links.
-
Created By enables the user to filter the links by Anyone or Specific Person. The user can search for a specific person and filter the links shared only by that individual.
Hovering over an individual row will bring the option to either View File, View Folder, or Upload Files depending on the type of link created.
Filter And View Links for Inactive Users
The Link Dashboard provides the option to filter links shared by deactivated and deleted users. This allows better visibility and greater control over links shared by inactive users.
The Search functionality within the Created by filter retrieves results for both active and inactive users.
Export Links
The links that are visible on the dashboard can be exported as a CSV file by clicking on Export Links.
Select the links and click Export Selected Links to export only the selected links.
Delete Links
The Links Dashboard provides the ability to instantly deactivate the selected links. Check the box next to each link and select the Delete Selected Links option.
