Secure & Govern v 24.3 - Quick Issues Delegation, Microsoft Purview Labels - Granular Permissions Control, Hierarchical Label Support

External Release Notes: Secure & Govern 24.3 (July 22, 2025)

New Features and Enhancements

Quickly Delegate Issues to Data Owners

Secure and Govern now automatically suggests Data Owners when delegating Issues, making it easier to assign remediation to users directly responsible for the content.

Purview Labeling - Support for Hierarchical Labels

Egnyte now supports importing hierarchical Purview labels and these are available as parent\child labels. This makes it easier for the users to apply the appropriate level of sensitivity to their content.

In order to get Hierarchical Labels enabled for the domain, a one-time reauthentication is required.  For more information, please see this article.

Microsoft Purview Integration - Separate Permissions for Labels and Classify & Govern

Permissions required for reading Microsoft Purview Information Protection sensitivity labels are now separated from those required for classification and governance on Microsoft content sources. Users can choose their scope while adding a Microsoft content source

This enables organizations to have more granular permission control, allowing them to configure Purview labels and Classify & Govern permissions independently.

Egnyte to Egnyte Connector 2-Way Sync

Egnyte to Egnyte Connector enables customers to sync the contents of selected folders across separate Egnyte tenants. Users can now set up bi-directional Egnyte to Egnyte Connections, allowing for updates made in connected folders to sync in both directions.

This feature was previously released as Limited Availability. It is now released to all customers.
