New Features And Enhancements
Project Center
Egnyte is launching Project Center, a centralized workspace to view and manage all folders marked as projects. Users can now create new projects, access recommended project folders, export project lists, and use advanced search and sort tools to quickly find what they need, all from one place.
Project Center is specifically designed for teams managing multiple active and upcoming projects, particularly in the AEC industry. With direct project creation and centralized access, users can spend less time navigating and more time collaborating across teams and project phases.
This feature is available to users who have Project Hub enabled. Contact the account manager or Egnyte Sales team to get this add-on.
Save and Share Views when Browsing by Metadata Tags (Limited Availability)
Egnyte now offers users the ability to save and share views when browsing by metadata tags. Users can also Rename or Remove saved views as needed.
This feature enables quicker access to commonly used tag-based views, making it easier to find relevant content without repeating the same steps. It also allows users to create uniform standardized views that can be shared and used across an organization.
This feature is now released as General Availability. Click here for details.
Enable or Disable Group Creation by Power Users
Admins can now Enable or Disable the Power Users to create groups if they have the ability to view users & groups options in Settings.
Enabling the setting reduces admin overhead by allowing Power Users to manage team or project-specific groups independently. Disabling it keeps group creation centralized, helping maintain consistency and oversight in group management.
Group Owner Details For Group Exports And Imports
Group exports now include group owner details, marked with the prefix [o]_.
Similarly, when importing groups via CSV, users can designate the group owner by adding the [o]_ prefix to the username.
This feature was previously released as Limited Availability. It is now released to all Customers.
Increased Max File Size for Upload Requests
Upload Request recipients can now upload files up to the maximum file size configured on the domain. Previously, the limit was set to 100 MB.
Upload Request Workflows are included as part of the Document Portal Add-On. Contact the Account Manager or Egnyte Sales team to add this feature.
Saved Views in BIM File Preview
Users can now Save Views while previewing BIM files. The feature is designed to improve workflow efficiency by eliminating repetitive manual adjustments and providing quick, consistent access to key perspectives for review and coordination tasks.
- This feature is a part of the Specialized File Handler Add-On. To enable Specialized File Handler Add-On for your domain, please contact your Egnyte account manager or the Egnyte Sales team to add this feature.
- This feature was previously released as Limited Availability. It is now released to all Customers.
Issues Addressed
Copy Link Button in Salesforce
The Copy Link button was unresponsive when accessing Egnyte from Salesforce. Clicking the button neither copied the link nor triggered any action.
Error Accessing Revit (.rvt) and .DWG Files via Share Links
There was an issue in accessing Revit (.rvt) and DWG files shared using public links. External users were not able to access Revit and DWG files shared via public links.
Additional Information And Resources
Launch of the Project Hub
The Project Control add-on is being rebranded to the Project Hub. There are no changes in functionality as a result of this change.
Improvements to Existing Functionality
The current release contains a few improvements to existing functionality.

- Minor UI improvements
- Minor bug fixes
These changes will be available to all users by July 17, 2025.
