Group Management for Power Users

Follow

To provide autonomy to project teams and departments, Egnyte lets employees modify access to folders for which they are Owners. In the same way, Egnyte allows employees (Power Users) to create groups to manage access efficiently for multiple users. Administrators can remove this capability if they'd like to retain a higher level of control.

Change Setting

To change this setting, go to the Configuration tab under Settings and select Users Types & Roles. Then, click on Roles to modify the role to allow the capability. Make sure to save your changes!

In some cases, an individual user will have access to a folder, but will also be a member of a group that has access to the folder. For example, they might have Owner access individually, but be a member of a group that has Viewer access. In this case, the higher permission always applies, so the user will have Owner access to the folder.
