Desktop App Core - New Application User Interface

The user interface for Egnyte Desktop App Core has been redesigned to provide a seamless way to access, and search Egnyte files. This guide walks you through the various tabs and options available in the application.

The new interface will be available for all the domains by May 2025.

  • Shared and Private Folders: Quick links located below the search bar can be used to quickly navigate to the Shared and Private folders.
  • Copilot Hub: The widget displays Knowledge Bases or Smart Apps the user can access, listed by recent usage. Users can click Go to Copilot Hub to navigate to the complete Copilot Hub page. This will be available for customers with the Egnyte Copilot add-on plan.
  • Bookmarks: Lists all the bookmarked folders.
  • Recents: The recent files widget lists up to 30 of the recent files accessed.
  • Links: The Links widget lists the links shared and received by order of recency.
  • Projects: The widget lists up to 30 project folders that users can access, listed by recent usage. This will be available to customers with Project Control add-on.
