External Release Notes: AI Assistant (August 26, 2026)
New Features and Enhancements
Marketplace - Easily Configure and Add Agents to the Workspace
Egnyte has launched the Agent Marketplace, a curated library of pre-built agents that helps teams get started faster without building agents from scratch.
Users can browse agents based on their workflows, review details such as their purpose, capabilities, and sample questions, and configure and add the agents that best fit their needs.
This feature is available for Platform Plans with AI add-on and included in the New Generation AI plans. Contact the account manager or Egnyte Sales team to get this feature.
Forms in Agents
Egnyte now provides the capability to add forms when building an agent to collect the specific inputs required for a task. This helps create a more structured and consistent way for users to interact with agents, especially for repeatable processes used at scale.
By guiding users to provide the required information upfront, Forms help reduce variations in agent responses and produce more consistent results. They are well suited for tasks such as generating contracts, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), job descriptions, proposals, and Statements of Work (SOW), as well as collecting internal help requests, tool requests, and Requests For Proposals (RFPs).
This feature is available for Platform Plans with AI add-on and included in the New Generation Platform plans. Contact the Egnyte account manager or Egnyte Sales team for more information.
Manage AI Models
Admins can now manage which AI models are available to end-users by enabling or disabling specific model(s) and setting a default model. End users will see only the models made available by their admin, with the configured default model selected automatically.
This gives admins greater control over model usage, helps standardize the models used across the organization, and ensures users have access to models that align with business requirements.
Model List Upgrade
Egnyte now supports Gemini-3.7 Flash and Sonnet-5 models, providing users with greater flexibility to choose the AI model that best suits their requirements.
Gemini-3.7 Flash is disabled by default. Admins can enable the model from the Allowed Models list to make it available for the end-users.
AI Assistant - Quick View for Source(s)
Egnyte now opens source files in Quick View when users access AI Assistant through the AI option in the left menu and select a source from the generated response.
This lets users review the source content alongside the response without leaving AI Assistant. Users can quickly verify information and understand the context behind a response while referring to the source simultaneously.
