External Release Notes: Web UI (August 5, 2026)
New Features and Enhancements
UI Update - Row-Level Actions in Search Results
Egnyte now displays the row-level actions menu when a user hovers over the three-dots icon for a specific file or folder in the search results. Common actions such as share, edit, download, and move/copy are available along with the context menu directly from that row, reducing the need to open the item first. This makes the search results consistent with the file and folder listing.
This improves navigation efficiency, enables faster access to frequently used actions, and helps users manage content with fewer clicks.
Terms of Access in Document Rooms
Admins and Document Room Owners now have the capability to configure Terms of Access for Document Rooms. This would assist them in facilitating compliance when collaborating on sensitive information. These terms of access can be enabled, disabled, and updated as per the requirement. External stakeholders (Standard Users) are required to review and accept these terms in order to access the Document Room.
Folder-Level Downloads in Inactive Containers
Users now have the ability to download items at the folder-level in Inactive Containers. Earlier, only file-level downloads were available.
Inactive Container is part of the Data Fabric add-on available for Platform Enterprise Lite, Platform Enterprise, Elite, and Ultimate Plans. Contact the Egnyte representative or Egnyte Sales Team to learn more.
Export Document Workflows Listing to CSV
Egnyte now provides an Export CSV option for Document Workflows, enabling users to export workflow listings from Tasks Assigned to Me, Workflows I Created, and All Workflows. This helps users to efficiently review workflow information, maintain records, share workflow details with stakeholders, and simplify reporting and audit activities.
