New Features and Enhancements
Automatic Removal of Microsoft Purview Sensitivity Labels
Egnyte now automatically removes Microsoft Purview sensitivity labels from files in Egnyte when the corresponding label is deleted from Secure & Govern.
This enables organizations to remove Microsoft Purview Sensitivity Labels across managed content in Egnyte without requiring manual updates to individual files. The removal process is performed automatically in the background, helping maintain consistent labeling across files while preserving version history and recording all removal activity in file audit events.
AI-Generated Issue Analysis and Recommendations
Reviewing an Issue in Secure & Govern often means pulling context from several places to understand what happened, who was involved, and what to do next.
Admins can now click Analyze with AI on any open or in-progress Issue to get a plain-language explanation of the detected activity: what triggered it, who did it, the severity and impact, why it matters, and a recommended next step of remediate, delegate, or dismiss. If an Issue is later reopened or updated, admins can regenerate the summary to reflect the latest activity.
This feature is only available to the customers on the Elite and Ultimate plans. Contact the Egnyte account manager or Egnyte Sales team for more information.
Option to Skip Files Under Retention for Archival and Deletion
Users can now specify that files that are currently under retention due to a Retention policy or a Legal Hold be skipped when Archival or Deletion policies are processed. This option does not apply to files under retention due to the default retention setting.
