Configuration Agent

The Configuration Agent is a new way to assess, edit, and apply account configuration using plain language. Instead of navigating settings manually, administrators can describe what they want to accomplish, and the agent translates the request into concrete action suggestions. At launch, the agent can suggest Content Classification, Content Safeguards, AI Safeguards, and Labelling policies.

The Configuration Agent never makes changes on its own. Every request returns action suggestions that an administrator reviews and approves before anything takes effect, and each executed action is recorded in the audit trail under that administrator's identity. This makes it safe to explore an existing setup, plan a "Find & Protect" workflow, or draft new policies without any risk of unintended changes. When the agent needs more detail it asks clarifying questions, when a request falls outside its current scope it points to the relevant helpdesk documentation, and provides a shortcut for submitting Egnyte Support tickets when human help is needed.

Context-Aware Action Pills for Recent Files and File Previews

Egnyte now displays context-aware AI prompts in Recent Files and File Previews - Quick View and Full View. Prompts are generated based on the content of the file, and selecting a prompt automatically initiates an interaction with the file in Egnyte’s AI Assistant.

This helps users quickly access relevant insights from files and perform AI-assisted tasks without having to manually enter the prompts.

The current release contains a few improvements to existing functionality.
