External Release Notes: Secure & Govern v 26.6 (July 8, 2026)
New Features and Enhancements
Enhanced UI for Content Lifecycle Analytics View
Egnyte has enhanced the Content Lifecycle analytics view with a cleaner, more intuitive interface that makes folder statistics and content insights easier to review at a glance.
The updated view presents folder statistics, such as Total files, Total size, File versions, Duplicate files, Files under retention, and Retained files expiring within the next 30 days, in a more organized layout. It also provides clearer visualizations of the Current files overview, Folder size snapshot, Type of files, File creation pattern, Last accessed file pattern, Content lifecycle policies by file count/size, Content lifecycle policies impacting files, and Average weekly activity pattern.
More Granularity for Custom Classification Policies
Specification of ANY or ALL operators are now available for each individual criteria section for custom classification policies, providing more granular control over the policy definition.
Role-Based Permissions for Migration and Replication Users (Limited Availability)
Egnyte now offers configurable role-based permissions for Migration and Replication users. Admins can configure these capabilities for Migrate & Replicate users as per their roles enabling them with the permissions to Create and Manage migrations/replications & true-ups. The available permissions dynamically adjust based on the selected scope, ensuring that only applicable permissions are available for configuration.
This feature is applicable for customers with Unified User Directory Management for Collaborate and Secure & Govern enabled.
- Unified User Directory Management for Collaborate and Secure & Govern is currently in Limited Availability for all customers with only one Egnyte Content Source active in Secure & Govern. To request this feature, contact our Products team.
