External Release Notes: iOS Mobile App for Intune v 9.8 (June 22, 2026)
New Features and Improvements
Access to AI Agents on iOS
Users can now interact with AI Agents directly from their iOS devices. This update allows for the selection of existing organizational agents to summarize documents, ask questions, and retrieve insights on the go, ensuring a consistent AI experience across the web and mobile platforms.
Enhanced Search Filters
The search experience in the Egnyte iOS app has been updated with more precise filtering capabilities. The Updated by filter now features an inline auto-suggest field that queries the corporate directory as users type, making it easier to narrow results by a specific person. The Modified and Uploaded date filters have been upgraded from preset options to full calendar date pickers, allowing users to define custom date ranges. A new Geolocation filter category has been introduced, enabling users to find files based on GPS metadata - either within a set radius of their current location or near a specific address. Additionally, a new Content filter allows users to narrow search results to files, folders, or both.
Checkbox and Radio Button Support for Egnyte Sign
The mobile signing experience now supports interactive checkboxes and radio buttons. Users can select options, toggle multi-select fields, and complete required selections directly within the app, allowing for the full execution of complex documents on iOS devices.
Co-Editing Entry Point from Shared Link Preview
Users previewing a shared link to a Microsoft Office file can now launch co-editing directly from the preview screen, without navigating to the file's location first.
Separate Folder Per Submitter When Requesting Files
When creating an upload link via the Request Files from Others option, users can now choose to automatically create a separate folder for each person who submits files — bringing the iOS app to parity with the existing web interface behavior.
Updated File and Folder Details Screens
The file and folder details views have been refreshed with an updated layout, making file and folder information easier to review and navigate.
Issues Addressed
Issue Adding Egnyte as a Storage Location for Co-editing
Users of the Egnyte for Intune iOS app were unable to complete the process of adding Egnyte as a connected storage location in Microsoft Office apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Due to an issue in the storage authorization flow, the confirmation screen was not displayed and Egnyte storage was not registered correctly in the Microsoft Office apps, preventing co-editing from functioning. The authorization flow has been corrected and now completes successfully.
