New Features And Enhancements
Large Icons (Gallery) View - Smarter Layout and Intuitive Experience
The large icons (Gallery view) in the Web UI now feature an enhanced grid layout, richer inline actions when hovering over a selection, and a more intuitive browsing experience overall. Users can hover over a file to view inline status indicators such as active links, versions, comments, lock, and insights. They can also access the context menu through the three-dot menu or by selecting files, resulting in a cleaner interface and enabling easier collaboration.
Checkboxes and Radio Buttons in Signature Requests
Requestors can now add checkboxes and radio buttons as fields in signature requests, along with custom labels for each option.
This enhancement in Egnyte Sign makes it easier to capture structured inputs within documents such as questionnaires and forms, reducing the need for back-and-forth, improving data consistency, and streamlining the overall signing and information collection process.
Egnyte Sign is available as part of the PDF File Handler Add-On. Contact the account manager or Egnyte Sales team for more details on how to get access to this feature.
View or Hide Layers in PDFs
Users can now view or hide layers within PDF files, giving them greater control over how content is displayed. This is especially useful for complex documents such as construction drawings, where users can isolate specific layouts or elements as needed. It improves clarity and focus, reduces visual clutter, and enables more efficient review and collaboration across teams working on layered documents.
Automated AEC Document Classification (Limited Availability)
Egnyte now automatically identifies document types specific to the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industry using a Small Language Model (SLM) and saves them as document tags on files. This enables more precise content organization and filtering, improves search accuracy, and supports downstream workflows such as faster document retrieval, better classification, and more efficient project collaboration.
- For customers on an AEC Essentials plan, any file that is uploaded to a newly created Project in Egnyte will automatically be classified.
- For customers on an AEC Elite or AEC Ultimate plan, any file that is uploaded anywhere in their domain will automatically be classified.
- The feature is currently available to a limited number of customers. To request this feature contact our Products team.
