External Release Notes: iOS Mobile App v 9.3 (February 3, 2026)
New Features and Improvements
Improved Automatic Sync for Offline Access General Availability
A new auto-update option has been introduced for files and folders marked for offline access. When enabled and the device is online, updates from the cloud are automatically applied under any of the following conditions:
- When the application is launched
- When the app transitions from background to foreground
- When the folder marked for offline is opened or refreshed from the listing view
- When the Offline tab is opened
The auto-update setting can be turned on during the process of marking a file or folder for offline access. A prompt is displayed with the option to enable or skip auto-updates and to include or exclude subfolders. It can also be enabled using the More menu (⋯) by selecting the enable or disable auto-update option.
The Automatic Sync feature will be rolled out gradually. It may take several weeks to become available across all customer domains.
AI Chats Enhancements
Source and Model Selector
Source and Model Selection has been added to Copilot Chat on iOS, allowing greater control over how responses are generated. In addition to Egnyte content (which is always included), optional web sources can be enabled, and a single large language model can be selected from the supported models to power the conversation. Gemini-2.5 Flash is the model selected by default. The model selector is also available in the Document AI feature for domains with Egnyte Copilot Add-on plan.
This feature is available for customers having Essential, Elite, and Ultimate plans OR Platform Enterprise or Enterprise Lite plans with the Co-Pilot add-on. Contact your account manager or Egnyte Sales team for more information.
Web Links in Copilot Sources
Egnyte Copilot on iOS now supports web links as sources, allowing referenced web content to be opened directly for preview. This enables seamless access to external information included in Copilot responses.
Issues Addressed
Egnyte Sign Link Handling
In some cases, opening an Egnyte Sign link from an email while the Egnyte app was already running prevented the document from opening correctly, blocking the signing flow. The link only worked after fully closing the app first.
Egnyte Sign links now open correctly in the Egnyte app on iOS, even when the app is already running, allowing documents to be signed without interruption.
