New Features and Enhancements
Create Signature Requests and Templates Using Existing Templates
Egnyte now offers its users the ability to create a signature request/signature template from scratch or use an existing template. The following screen appears when a user selects an option to send a document for signature.
Similarly, the users now get the option to choose a new signature template or create from an existing template at the time of new template creation.

Controls on Restoring Content from Snapshot
Egnyte introduces enhanced controls on restoration jobs for smooth and secure content restoration using Advanced Snapshot & Recovery.
- The user can now restore up to 10 folders in a single restore job. However, there is no limit on the number of files being selected for restoration.
- The user will now have up to 3 concurrent restore jobs being processed simultaneously.
Project Folder Recommendations
Project Recommendation is displayed within a folder when Egnyte identifies it as a potential project. These recommended projects can also be found in the Project Dashboard. Users have the option to either confirm the recommendation by marking it as a project or not a project.
The feature is available in the Project Control Add-on.
Versions & History Available in Egnyte Actions Menu in Desktop App
Egnyte has added an additional option to access Versions & History for the file directly from the Desktop App -> Egnyte Actions menu. This option will open a browser with Versions & History for the selected file that is already open.
The Egnyte Actions feature is available in the Desktop App Core for Mac, starting from version 1.2.0 or higher and Desktop App for Windows version 3.22.0 or higher.
Creation Date Column for “Created By Me” Dashboards in Document Portal
Egnyte has introduced a new Creation date column for the tasks Created By Me dashboards in the Document Portal. This update applies to tasks listings on both the Home and Tasks tabs within a Workspace.
The new column allows users to quickly view when tasks were created by them.
Improved Tasks Types for Upload Request Workflow in Document Portal
Egnyte has enhanced the tracking of in-progress Upload Request tasks by introducing two new task types: Upload and Pending Review. Currently, all in-progress Upload Request tasks are listed under a single task type called Upload Request, making it difficult to distinguish their current status.
With this enhancement, the tasks are categorized as:
- Upload: Assigned to users when they need to upload documents.
- Pending Review: Assigned to the request creator after documents are uploaded and submitted for the review.
