New Features And Improvements

Support For MacOS Sequoia

Egnyte DA Core officially supports macOS Sequoia ensuring a seamless performance on Apple’s latest operating system.

DA Core Ends Support For MacOS Monterey

We are discontinuing support for macOS Monterey. The latest version is not installable on this macOS, and previous versions cannot be upgraded to version 1.3.0.

Improved Notifications For Co-Edit Session Availability

Introduced alerts to better inform users when co-editing sessions cannot be started. Users will now see specific notifications if co-edit mode fails to initiate for following reasons:

  • No Office apps installed
  • Storage not added or not authenticated
  • No permissions to edit
  • Extension not supported (old Office files)
  • File locked (self-lock and locked by other users)
  • No internet connection
  • File removed
  • File too large to co-edit
  • File in upload
  • Unknown error - 'retry later'

Manual File Locking Improvements

Files locked using DA core can now be viewed in a list via the locked files button in the desktop app.

Improved Handling Of File Save Or Replace Sequences For Applications Like AutoCAD

AutoCAD and similar applications save files with temporary backups and replacements, which previously caused issues like lost file history, recovery challenges, and accidental deletions during conflicts. To resolve this, a delayed sync for delete actions on files (not folders) has been introduced, allowing these actions to merge with later file creations or moves.
