New Features and Improvements
Egnyte Actions
Egnyte Actions introduce quick and easy access to a variety of file management features directly from the file’s context menu. With Egnyte Actions, a user can efficiently perform essential actions such as requesting document signatures, editing PDFs, or reviewing file versions without needing to navigate away from the app.
Manual File Locking
Users can now lock and unlock a file using the right-click context menu option.
Locked files may be previewed or downloaded by other users, but they will not be able to edit, rename, move or delete the files.
Connected Folders - Quick Connect
Quick connect feature enables users to connect their local folders - Documents, Downloads, and Desktop to Egnyte with a single click via the Connected folders tab in Desktop App, ensuring these folders are backed up and synced to their Egnyte folder.
Issues addressed
Data Duplication Issue.
An upgrade to Mac OS Sequoia resulted in App database corruption which resulted in a mass update and creation of a series of files and folders.
Connected folders disable notification
A notification issue was identified when the connected folders feature was disabled in the WebUI. The notification reappeared every time the machine restarted, even after being dismissed.
