Unified Experience for Creating Documents via MS Office and Google Workspace Integration
A pop-up will now appear while creating documents via MS Office and Google Workspace integration. This feature unifies and streamlines the process for users, allowing them to name their document and choose its location, bringing a consistent approach to document creation in the Web UI.
Egnyte to Egnyte Connector from Collaborate (Limited Availability)
Egnyte to Egnyte Connector is now available from Egnyte Collaborate. Admins or Power Users with Full permissions on a folder and its subfolders will be able to create an Egnyte to Egnyte connection directly from the Share menu.
This feature is in limited availability and is available on platform Enterprise Lite and Enterprise plans as well as Life Sciences and Document Room plans. Contact Egnyte Support if you would like this enabled on your domain.
Issues Addressed
Duplicate User Entries Across Pages
Duplicate user entries were visible across pages in the Settings > Users & Groups -> Users section.
Custom Access URL (CAU) Not Used to Open Desktop App
The Custom Access URL (CAU) was not being used to open the Desktop App for the domains with CAU defined.
Co-Editor’s Name Display Issue in Edited File
The file displayed is co-edited by the governance access account in place of the actual user’s name.
Standard Users Unable to Create Documents in Document Rooms
Standard Users did not have the option to create MS Office and Google Workspace documents in document rooms.
