Manual File Locking in ABC
Extends manual file locking to Adaptive Block Caching (ABC mode) mode on Mac. Users can lock and unlock files directly from the Egnyte actions. Users with write permission can lock a file, and manually locked files must be unlocked by the locking user, an Admin, or the folder owner otherwise the lock releases automatically after 7 days.
Egnyte Actions in Home Screen Tabs
The Desktop App home screen provides Recents, Bookmarks, and Projects tabs, but users previously couldn't act on the items listed there, performing an action meant navigating to the file in Finder first. This release integrates the Egnyte Actions context menu directly into all three tabs, so users can share, lock, launch workflows, open the AI Assistant, and perform other actions on Recent, Bookmarks and Projects without leaving the home screen.
Issues Addressed
User Selected Co-Editing App was Ignored
When a user set their own default co-editing app (starred in Apps & Integrations), the Desktop App ignored the selection and applied the administrator's domain default instead, so Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files opened from Finder did not open in co-editing mode.
Log Submissions Failed at 1 GB
The Contact Support form refused to send when the collected logs archive exceeded 1 GB, returning an attachment-size error even when no attachment had been added.
Recurring "Connected folders are now disabled" Notifications
Users repeatedly received a "Connected folders are now disabled. Admin turned off feature for the domain" popup, roughly every 15 minutes, including on domains where Connected Folders was never enabled or configured.
Desktop App (ABC mode) Crashed when Working with Cinema 4D Files
The Desktop App (ABC mode) crashed when users worked with Cinema 4D files stored on ABC drives.

How to Upgrade
Visit the Desktop App installers article to download and install the latest version of the Desktop App or update the existing app to the newest version on all the devices. It may take a few days for the latest version to propagate to all user devices. However, users can manually upgrade their app immediately after the release.
