Share to Microsoft Teams allows users to integrate the power of file sharing capabilities of Egnyte into Teams. Teams brings all the team communication together in one place, is instantly searchable, and is available on multiple platforms. The integration helps streamline workflows by pushing content to where conversation happens, reducing the need to switch between applications, manual copy-pasting, and integrating smoothly with existing processes.
Multi-domain environments are fully supported by this integration. Enterprise accounts managing several environments can easily distribute content across channels from any connected domain without needing extra configuration.
Deployment options remain completely flexible. Administrators can implement this solution as a complementary feature alongside the broader Microsoft 365 setup, or deploy it independently focused solely on the sharing functionality to best match organizational requirements.
This integration also includes an AI-powered summarization feature. When sharing a file, users can choose to generate an AI summary of the document. This posts a concise overview in the Teams channel alongside the secure direct file link, allowing team members to understand the context immediately without opening the full file.
Sharing through this integration utilizes secure Egnyte Direct URL links, ensuring the organization's security and governance policies are respected.
The app includes the following features:
- Context Menu: Share directly from the file options in Egnyte to the desired Teams Channel, including Private Channels, or to specific Teams users.
- AI Summaries: Generate instant content overviews to post with the files.
- Channel Selector: Pick the exact Teams channel for the update.
- Secure Sharing: Maintain permissions with secure file links, ensuring that only users with valid domain credentials and access to the file can view the shared content.
- Share Direct Links: Safely share Egnyte file and folder links. Only users with valid domain credentials and the required access can view the shared content.
