New Features and Enhancements
Automated Tagging for Single Documents
Egnyte now offers the ability to generate smart tag suggestions based on file content. Users can click the Auto Tag option under Tags in the right sidebar during file preview to view suggested tags. Users can review and approve the relevant tags, ensuring they remain in control of what gets added.
Automated tagging helps transform unstructured content into organized, AI-ready data while reducing manual effort and allowing users to stay focused on their work.
- Rollout of the feature will start on March 9, 2026, and will be completed by March 31, 2026.
- Auto tag functionality is only available to customers with the Copilot add-on. Please contact the Egnyte account manager or Egnyte Sales team for more information.
Copilot Replacing Ask
In domains with the Copilot add-on enabled, users can now interact with documents directly in Egnyte Copilot, with the preview offering interaction in Copilot instead of Ask. This enables a more advanced and contextual document interaction experience, helping users gain deeper insights and generate more comprehensive responses from their content.
