New Features And Enhancements
Usability Enhancements to Elevate End-User Experience
Egnyte has introduced several usability enhancements to make everyday actions faster and more intuitive, including improved context menu and row-level actions, unified move or copy, simplified sharing, top-menu updates, column-level filters, inline rename and metadata edits, and updated table-view controls.
Context Menu Updates
The menu has been simplified with a more intuitive layout. Users now have a unified Move or Copy option, and the Share option directly opens the Share pop-up. All additional actions are accessible under More actions.
Top Menu Updates
The Share option is now updated to a button from a dropdown and it directly opens the Share pop-up. The rest of the options have been moved under the three-dots (more) dropdown.
Row-Level Actions for Files, Folders and Project Center
Users can now access quick actions at the row-level for files and folders. These include Move or Copy, Download, Edit, and Share.
Project Settings and Share are available as the row-level actions on each project within the Project Center.
Column-Level Filters
Column-level filters and Search allows to execute search and filter actions which previously were only available as part of the regular search experience.
Inline Rename
Rename function is now available directly on the files and folders list on hovering over.
Inline Metadata Edit
Metadata values can now be easily adjusted directly on files and folders list using the Edit option.
Updated Table-View Controls
The table-view controls at the top-right have been made more intuitive for the end-users.
New Status Column Indicator Design
The status column indicator features a new design for improved readability.
Unified Experience of Moving and Copying Files or Folders
Users can now access unified Move and Copy options in one place. This update allows users to easily choose the desired Move or Copy permissions and folder options for any selected file or folder from a single option.
This makes file or folder actions faster, clearer, and more intuitive for everyday workflows.
This feature, previously in Limited Availability, is now available to all customers.
Issues Addressed
Changes in Password Expiry Email
The messaging in the password expiry email has been updated to make it more informative and authentic for the users.
FTP Issue in Setting up Scanner
There was an issue when a user attempted to set up and use a particular scanner and the device returned an error.
Automatic ZIP Download on Accessing Share Link
Accessing shared links for larger DWG files in the browser for domains without the AEC package generated 3D preview artefacts. This automatically started an unexpected ZIP download.
Reporting Data After Deduplication
The data after deduplication did not reflect properly even after some of the duplicate data was removed.

The current release contains a few improvements to existing functionality.
