External Release Notes: iOS Mobile App v9.1 (November 17, 2025)
New Features and Enhancements
Voice Input for AI Chats
The Egnyte Mobile App now supports voice input in AI Chats, including AI-Driven Document Summarization & Document Q&A and Knowledge Bases. This enhancement allows prompts to be spoken instead of typed, offering an alternative and more natural way to engage with AI-powered assistance on the go.
A microphone icon is available within supported chats. When activated, speech is transcribed in real time, with a waveform visual indicating active recording. If a pause longer than three seconds occurs, recording automatically stops, and transcription remains available for review and optional editing. Recording may be resumed as needed, and the prompt can then be submitted through the standard submission control.
Voice input is currently supported in English only.
Co-Editing with Google Docs on Mobile
Co-editing support for Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides in the Egnyte Mobile App will begin rolling out as the new generation of Google Workspace integration is now under general availability on mobile.
The feature allows multiple collaborators to edit Google files simultaneously from mobile, with changes reflected in real time and preserved in Egnyte.
Redirecting Qualified Signatures to Mobile Browser
Egnyte Sign on Mobile now redirects qualified (Part 11-compatible) signature requests to the mobile browser.
This ensures that signatures requiring enhanced compliance are completed in the appropriate browser-based workflow, while standard eSignature requests continue to be handled directly in the app.
Issues Addressed
Folder Navigation from Salesforce Integration
When launching the Egnyte mobile app from the Salesforce mobile app using the Open folder with Egnyte app action, the intended folder location was only displayed briefly before redirecting to the Egnyte homepage.
This occurred when the Egnyte app was not already running in the background. The app now correctly opens and remains on the target folder after redirection, ensuring expected continuity when accessing Egnyte folders from Salesforce.
File Version Refresh in iOS Files App
When accessing Egnyte files through the iOS Files app, recently updated PDF files could display an outdated version despite showing the correct modified timestamp.
The file listing now refreshes as expected, and the latest version of the file is displayed when opened via the Files app.
PDF Edit Mode Stability
In some cases, opening a PDF in Edit mode caused the Egnyte mobile app to close unexpectedly.
PDF files can now be opened and edited without interruption.
