New Features and Enhancements
Convert File to PDF Step in Workflow Templates
Workflow Template creators can now add a Convert file to PDF automated action step to their workflows. It will save time on manual conversions and keep documents in a consistent format for easier sharing and record-keeping.
This new automated action step enables automatic PDF conversion as part of workflow execution. This step can be combined with the existing To Do, Review, and Approval steps in workflows. The template creators can choose to save the converted PDF in the same folder as the source file, or specify a different folder for storing the PDF.
The Convert File to PDF step in Workflow Template is part of the PDF File Handler Add-On. Please contact an Egnyte account manager or the Egnyte Sales team to add this feature.
UI Enhancements for Workflow Templates Listing
The Workflow Templates listing page has been updated with UI improvements for an enhanced user experience.
Users can now quickly access Edit, Deactivate, and Duplicate action buttons by hovering over the template name. Templates can also be opened directly by clicking on the template name. Additionally, enhanced column filters are now available, making it easier to find templates based on specific criteria.
Specifications Analyst
Egnyte is announcing the Specifications Analyst feature, designed specifically for the AEC industry. The feature enables users to streamline the project specification review process by automatically parsing specification files for faster navigation. It also extracts key information such as Submittals, Products, and Warranties, helping users improve efficiency and minimize the risk of oversight.
Specifications Analyst simplifies specifications reviews by reducing manual effort, organizing files, and enabling faster access to key information improving collaboration and reducing risks.

Email Address Masking for Specific Recipient Link
To enhance privacy, when a recipient opens a shared link using the Specific Recipient link type, their email address will now be masked in the UI. This ensures that personal information is protected without impacting the secured access experience.
Issues Addressed
Setting Permissions to Admin Accounts in Project Folder Templates
Addressed an issue where users could incorrectly attempt to assign permissions to Administrators within Project Folder templates. Admins retain their inherent owner permissions, and a tooltip will indicate that explicit permission assignment is not possible for admin accounts.
