External Release Notes: Egnyte iOS Mobile App for Intune v. 8.34.4 (April 23, 2025)
Issues Addressed
Streamlined SSO Login For Intune-Managed Devices
Fixed the issue where users had to attempt logging in multiple times due to improper redirection during SSO, especially when Edge browser policies required the app to be Intune-managed.
After the change, the app now auto-enrolls with Intune using Microsoft credentials immediately upon launch, ensuring it is managed before initiating the Egnyte login flow. This resolves redirection issues and eliminates the need for repeated login attempts.
- Users no longer need to restart the app after enrollment. However, after logout, a restart is required to reinitiate the enrollment process, with an alert shown to inform the user.
- Please note that users are still required to log into both their Microsoft (Intune) account and their Egnyte account separately - this is expected behavior.
- If a user attempts to enroll with a Microsoft account that does not have an App Protection Policy assigned, enrollment will fail as expected in this scenario. The app will display a clear toast message: “Login blocked: No MAM policy is set for this account. Please contact your administrator to enable access.”
Known Issues And Limitations
With auto-enrollment now triggered immediately on app launch, public shared links (for example; Anyone link type) cannot be accessed unless the user first logs into a Microsoft (Intune) account. Logging into the Egnyte account is still not required to view these links, but MS authentication is now a prerequisite.
