Key Escalations And Issues Addressed
Fix For Sparse File Handling In Autodesk Civil 3D
Users were unable to edit Autodesk Civil 3D survey databases through the Desktop App, often resulting in file crashes.
Version History Preservation For Files Recreated During Save
Version history was not maintained for certain file types, such as Risa 3D files, due to their save behavior. These files were deleted and recreated during the save operation, causing version information to be lost in Egnyte's cloud storage.
Enhanced Performance And Stability For Large File Collaboration
There was an issue where opening large PowerPoint (.pptx) files in collaborative mode caused the Desktop App to go offline, displaying errors such as 'no connection' and 'Cannot find the file'. The problem stemmed from excessive resource usage leading to memory exhaustion.
This fix not only resolves the issue but also significantly improves the pre-processing speed for large files during collaboration, achieving up to a 10x performance boost.
Resolved Large Log File Generation Issue
Addressed an issue where the log file could grow excessively large, in some cases exceeding 100GB, due to file sharing conflicts between Egnyte app background processes.
