Configure Workspace Types

Users can assign a Workspace category such as Client or Vendor by using the Workspace Type property.

Create a workspace type

Follow the steps listed below to define customized workspace types according to business needs. These workspace types are available to domain users during workspace creation.

  1. Navigate to Settings page from the Document Portal app.
  2. Click on the Create new Workspace Type.

  3. Enter a custom Workspace Type with a minimum of 3 and maximum of 50 characters and click the Add button.

  4. Users can add up to 10 Workspace Types in addition to the Default workspace type.

 

Delete a workspace type

  1. Navigate to Settings page from the Document Portal app.
  2. Click on the delete icon next to the workspace type that needs to be deleted.

  3. Click on Delete workspace type in the confirmation dialog box.

The changes made to Workspace Type settings apply to newly created Workspaces only. All the existing Workspace types will remain as is, even after the workspace type is deleted.
