Create Documents Using Templates

After creation of blank documents using the right-click context menu, we are now introducing the creation of Microsoft documents using templates. The supported file types are Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel.

Templates are stored in the ’/Shared/Egnyte Templates/File Templates’ folder.

A user must have read access to the templates folder in order to create documents. If Cloud Start Path is configured, it must include the ‘/File Templates’ folder to create documents using templates.

Keyboard shortcut or Hotkey for Search

Search in Desktop application can now be accessed directly using a keyboard shortcut - Shift (⇧) + Command (⌘) + Space. Users can also configure hotkey in the Preferences section of the desktop application.

Alias on Desktop

Users can now create a shortcut to their drives on the desktop. To enable alias, go to Drives3 dot menuConfigure and select alias checkbox.

Known Limitations

No new limitations have been discovered.
