WebUI - Automatic Email Reminder And Project Properties As Searchable Metadata

Release Date: March 11, 2024. WebUI

New Features and Enhancements

Automatic Email Reminders in Egnyte Sign

Reminders can now be set in Egnyte Sign during request creation. If signers miss the initial notification email received upon request creation, a follow-up email will be sent as a reminder to notify the signer. Requesters can activate reminders from the Settings tab.

The alerts can then be configured based on a timetable, with two specific configurations:

  • First reminder after - The initial reminder will be sent out 'x' days following the submission of the request.
  • Subsequent reminder frequency - This determines the interval between subsequent reminders after the initial one has been issued.

Individuals who have already signed will not receive reminders. If sequential signing is enabled, signers in the queue will only receive reminders when it is their turn to sign the request.

Project Properties as Searchable Metadata

With Egnyte Project Folders, users can now define project attributes such as name, ID, and relevant dates through the 'Project Settings' dialog. Previously, these attributes were stored separately from Egnyte's metadata structure. They have now been incorporated into the metadata framework, enhancing functionality. Consequently, users can now conveniently search for projects based on these properties and include them as columns in their views.
