External Release Notes: iOS Mobile App for Intune v 9.11.1 (October 7, 2026)
New Features and Enhancements
Signatures Dashboard
A new Signatures tab has been added to the Egnyte iOS app, giving users a dedicated space to view and act on Egnyte Sign requests assigned to them. The new tab provides a single location to track requests by status, including In Progress, Completed, Declined, and Cancelled, without leaving the app. Users can tap any pending request to open the signing experience directly in the app, with a confirmation displayed upon completion.
AI Image Labeling
A new on-device AI Image Labeling capability is available, designed for users who upload photos via the Egnyte mobile app, particularly in Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) workflows. When enabled, users are prompted to download the on-device LLM to their device. Once downloaded, the app processes images using the model, generating short descriptions that feed into metadata namespace for enhanced search indexing.
This capability is available on the AEC Essentials, AEC Elite, AEC Ultimate plans. Contact the Egnyte account manager or Egnyte Sales team for more information.
iOS 26 Visual Updates
The Egnyte iOS app has been updated to support the visual design introduced in iOS 26, including compatibility with Apple's Liquid Glass styling applied to navigation bars, tab bars, and other interface elements. Users on iOS 26 will notice a new floating tab bar at the bottom of the screen, along with the updated system style rendered across key screens and components, with improvements to color contrast, spacing, and accessibility.
Issues Addressed
PDF Preview Slowness on iPad
Some users experienced slow page loading or app freezes when previewing large PDF files on iPad, particularly when navigating beyond the first few pages of complex documents. This has been resolved through an update to the PDF rendering component, and large PDFs now load and display correctly in the in-app preview.
Upload Failures When Uploading Large Batches of Photos
Uploading a large number of photos via the Egnyte iOS app could result in some or all uploads failing, getting stuck, or stopping when the app moved to the background. Large batches of photos now upload reliably, including when the app is backgrounded
Photos Not Retained After Upload Failure on Poor Network Connection
Photos taken directly from a target folder in the Egnyte app could disappear from the upload queue after losing network connectivity and navigating away from the app. Photos queued for upload are now retained and can be retried after regaining connection.
