External Release Notes: Desktop App Core for Mac v 1.21.1 (October 6, 2026)
Issues Addressed
Intermittent EgnyteFileProvider Crash
The EgnyteFileProvider process could crash intermittently due to a rare timing issue (race condition) in the app's internal connection handling. The process restarted automatically within seconds, so affected users saw at most a brief interruption of the Egnyte drive rather than a sustained outage.
Crash When Handling Files with Pre-1970 Modification Dates
Desktop App Core could crash when processing files whose modification date was earlier than 1970; most common files copied from old drives where an unset modification date defaults to January 1, 1904.
