New Features and Enhancements
Personalize AI Responses with Past Chats and Memories
Egnyte now supports AI personalization, enabling AI Assistant and Agents to learn based on user’s interaction over time. Once enabled, AI can automatically create memories based on interactions, while users can also manually add and save specific memories. AI can refer to past chats and use the user’s profile and preferences to set the right context.
This helps the users to spend less time repeating information or providing the same context in every interaction. AI Assistant and Agents can use what they have learned to provide more relevant, personalized responses that better fit the user’s needs and preferences.
Organize File and Folders with Egnyte Tools
AI Assistant and Agents can use Egnyte tools to help users organize files and folders directly from AI conversations. Users can create, copy, rename, and move files and folders, update file metadata, and check the status of asynchronous jobs without switching between workflows.
Admins can configure these tools with Custom, Always allow, Always ask, or Deny settings, enabling them to easily organize their files and folders with a single prompt. Egnyte tools can also analyze images directly and ask clarifying questions when details are unclear.
Currently, Egnyte tools are available to domain administrators only. Users who are not domain administrators will not see the File and Folder Tools connector and cannot use these tools in AI Assistant or in Agents.
Binary File Uploads and Downloads for MCP Server
Egnyte MCP Server now supports uploading and downloading binary files, including PDFs, images, spreadsheets, presentations, and archives. Text file uploads were already supported.
Configuration Agent - Additional Scopes
The Configuration Agent now supports Content Lifecycle and S&G User Account configurations, expanding the functional coverage to those areas of the Product. Some of the examples of prompts for these areas include:

Folder Selection in Forms in Agents
Forms In Agents now supports the Folder Selection field, which allows user to include Egnyte folders in the form response.
This feature is available for Platform Plans with AI add-on and included in the New Generation Platform plans. Contact the Egnyte account manager or Egnyte Sales team for more information.
