New Features and Improvements
OpenSSL Upgraded to 3.0.19
WebEdit now includes OpenSSL 3.0.19 for improved security. The Python runtime has also been updated to version 3.13.13. These updates maintain modern security standards and address recent vulnerabilities.
Skip WebEdit Launch During Silent Installations
When WebEdit is installed silently (/qn or /quiet parameter), the installer no longer attempts to launch the WebEdit main executable at the end of installation. End users will start WebEdit from the start menu, as expected in mass deployment scenarios.
This change applies to Windows.
Refreshed Bundled Certificate
The installation package now ships with an updated certificate. This is a routine refresh to ensure the bundled certificate remains valid for the lifetime of this release.

How to Upgrade
Visit the WebEdit installation article in the Egnyte Helpdesk to download and install the latest version of WebEdit, or update the existing app to the newest version on all devices. It may take a few days for the latest version to propagate to all user devices. Users can manually upgrade immediately after release.
