Web UI - Manage Email Domains for Standard User Invitations And Markdown Formatted Preview

External Release Notes: Web UI (April 8, 2026)

New Features and Enhancements

Manage Email Domains for Standard User Invitations (Limited Availability)

Egnyte enables customers to define allowed or blocked email domains for Standard User invitations. This ensures that the users from trusted business partners and specific organizations can be added to the domain enhancing access control and user management.

The feature is currently available to a limited number of customers. To request this feature contact our Products team.

Markdown (.md) Formatted Preview

Egnyte has improved the viewing experience for markdown (.md) files. Users can now easily switch between the formatted and raw text previews. This feature is accessible in both Quick View and Full File Preview, making these files much easier to read.

Issues Addressed

Displaying Editable Fields in PDF’s Quick View

Editable fields in PDF documents were not being displayed in Quick View, while the same document showed all fields correctly in the full file preview.

No Prompt to Download WebEdit

When users without WebEdit installed clicked on Edit -> WebEdit option, they were not prompted to download it and no action occurred.

Search Filters Display Issue

When performing a search with the Folders only or Files only filter selected, the results incorrectly displayed both files and folders, as the filter did not retain the selection. When the user reapplied the filter, the results correctly reflected the selected criteria.

Apply Signature Templates on Rotated Pages

Previously, the users were getting an error when they rotated a page and then attempted to apply Egnyte Sign templates to send a signature request.

Permission Error in Trash

Users who had recently migrated to administrator accounts were getting the permissions error while trying to access Trash.

Incomplete Details in Group Provisioning Report

The Group Provisioning Report correctly captured Add/Remove Owner actions; however, the Action Info field did not include details of which owner(s) were added or removed.

Additional Information and Resources

The current release contains a few improvements to existing functionality.

  • Previously, the folder insights badge displayed all information to the user, regardless if they could see associated information in the folder insights window or in Secure & Govern. Now, the badge display matches the information that the user has access to in the other areas.
  • Minor UI Improvements
  • Minor performance, security, and stability improvements
  • Minor bug fixes

These changes will be available to all users by April 8, 2026.
