New Features and Enhancements

Ask Functionality Renamed to Egnyte’s AI Assistant

The Ask functionality for summarization and Q&A on a single document is now renamed to Egnyte’s AI Assistant, aligning with a more intuitive and consistent naming experience. There are no changes to the existing functionality. The new name better reflects its role as a centralized AI-powered assistant for gaining insights and Q&A on a single document.

Persona-Based Onboarding (PBO) for New Paid Domains 

Egnyte is introducing Persona-Based Onboarding (PBO) designed to help first-time users quickly realize the value of Egnyte by guiding them through core capabilities tailored to their role. The feature offers the following key capabilities:

  • Role-based onboarding journeys for Admins and Power Users
  • Structured onboarding via progressive levels and tasks
  • Guided experience to accelerate product adoption from Day 1

- The feature is available only for new paid domains (both trial-to-paid and direct paid domains without a trial) and is not available for existing domains or for new users within those domains. 
- The feature is currently supported on Elite plan only.

Issues Addressed

Issue in Receiving Folder Activity Email Notifications

Fixed an issue where users were not receiving email notifications for folder activity.

Issue in Accessing Contract Analyst

When a user attempted to access Contract Analyst, they encountered an error that prevented access.

Additional Information and Resources

The current release contains a few improvements to existing functionality.

  • Egnyte Search now supports .m files
  • Minor UI Improvements
  • Minor performance, security, and stability improvements
  • Minor bug fixes

 These changes will be available to all users by March 25, 2026.
