External Release Notes: Controlled Document Management v 10.0 (February 13, 2026)
New Features and Enhancements
Custom Headers and Footers Per Category
We’re excited to introduce Custom Headers and Footers Per Category in the Controlled Document Management application, a feature which allows Category Managers to define custom headers and footers on a per-Category basis.
When creating or editing a Custom or Standard Document Category, Category Managers may indicate whether documents uploaded to that Category should have a standard header and/or footer, or whether they would like to customize the header and/or footer with a format specific to that category.
Category Managers can also leverage tokens to configure headers and footers which contain relevant information about the document.
Link Related Documents
This release also introduces the ability to indicate related documents for a Controlled Document. Users with Edit permissions to a document may add linked documents via the Manage Document modal for easy reference in that document’s File Information.
Multi-Category Courses
Course administrators will now be able to create courses containing documents from multiple Document Categories, including both Standard and Custom Categories. When creating a course, simply select Add Category to add documents from up to 10 different categories to a single course.
