Configuration Steps to Add Microsoft Permission for Sensitivity Labels

Egnyte supports the API for sensitivity labels recently released and made generally available by Microsoft Graph. The customers who have at least one M365 content source that is already authorized for importing Purview labels are impacted with this change.

As a result, these customers can import additional Purview labels into Egnyte once they add a Microsoft permission on their Microsoft Entra admin portal. There are no changes required within their Egnyte domain.

  1. Navigate and login to the Microsoft site.
  2. Navigate to Enterprise apps.

Customers should wait for at least 30 minutes for this permission to propagate before importing the additional sensitivity labels.

The following error message will appear if the customers do not add the mentioned permission and attempt to import the additional sensitivity labels from Settings -> Document Labels -> Sync Labels.
