The Desktop App would unnecessarily retry downloads on systems under heavy load. The problem was caused by a memory allocation issue during file downloads. The update improves how memory is managed in these scenarios to ensure stable and efficient downloads.
Host File Entry Containing Non-Standard Characters
An issue was reported where installing the Egnyte Desktop App added an entry with Chinese characters to the system host file, prompting security concerns. Investigation confirmed the entry was non-malicious and did not impact application functionality.

How to Upgrade
Visit the Desktop App installers article to download and install the latest version of the Desktop App or update the existing app to the newest version on all devices.
