Egnyte’s Android mobile app allows users to easily manage file uploads directly from their devices. The new Upload Center in the Egnyte Android app provides a central location to track and manage ongoing and recent uploads.

Uploading Files in the Android App
File uploads can be initiated using the floating + Create or upload button in the Android app:
- Tap the + Create or upload button.
- Choose to upload from:
- Files
- Existing Photos & Videos
- New Photos or Videos
Before upload starts, users can:
- Select or change the destination folder
- Review the list of files to be uploaded
- Rename the file
- Remove the file from the upload queue
Once the upload starts, users can monitor progress or troubleshoot any issues via the Upload Center.
Accessing the Upload Center
The Upload Center can be accessed from the app’s More menu:
More > Uploads
Using the Upload Center
The Upload Center displays a complete overview of ongoing and completed uploads.
Ongoing Uploads
When uploads are in progress, the following information is shown:
- A live progress bar indicating:
- Number of files
- Upload size (for example, “X of Y MB”)
- Percentage completed
- Cancel options:
- Cancel an individual file upload by clicking the respective X button
- Cancel all uploads by clicking on the Cancel button.
Upload errors indicated with a warning label and an “!” icon in a circle. Failed uploads can be retried by clicking the Resume icon.
Recently Uploaded Files
Completed uploads appear in the Recent Uploaded section, including:
- File name and type
- File size
- Upload date
- User who initiated the upload
Additional Options
Users can clear the upload history from within the Upload Center.
