Context

Running the Sanitize command in Migration App changes any unsupported characters in filenames on the Source to an underscore. Once Sanitize is complete, you need to run Scan again, after which you will be able to migrate those renamed files successfully.

If you don’t want to change file names on the Source, do not run Sanitize.

Unsupported Characters

By default, after running Sanitize in Migration App, the following unsupported characters in filenames are replaced by an underscore ("_") on the Source:
