The co-editing feature allows Egnyte users to collaborate on Microsoft Office files with other users through Egnyte's Microsoft Office integrations. As the feature continues to improve, users may encounter some issues with the co-editing feature that can be reported to Egnyte Support.

When facing an issue involving co-editing, it is highly recommended to submit a case with Egnyte Support or send an email to support@egnyte.com and follow the steps below to send feedback from the respective Microsoft Office instance where the issue occurred. This will provide additional resources that will help resolve the issue in a timely manner.
Provide the following information to Egnyte Support:
- Full file path(s) where the issue is observed such as \Shared\Document\Presentation\Marketing.pptx
- Timestamp when the issue occurred
- Affected username(s) or email addresses
- Brief description of the issue
- Any additional resources and information such as screenshots or recordings related to the issue
- Screenshot of the feedback submission to Microsoft (see steps below)
How to Send Feedback to Microsoft
The following steps should be done on the application where the issue is occurring, whether it is Microsoft Office Online or desktop application such as Word or Excel:
- Click Help
- Select Feedback
- Click on "Report a problem"
- In the What went wrong? box, provide the following:
- '#egnyte' and the date of the issue
- The Egnyte domain name
- Example - #egnyte0722204 acme.egnyte.com
- (Optional) Include any screenshots, recordings or files
- (Optional) Choose whether to be contacted by Microsoft regarding this issue
- Take a screenshot of the feedback submission
- Click Submit
- If an Egnyte Support ticket has already been reported, notify the Support agent by updating the respective ticket mentioning the feedback has been sent to Microsoft and include the screenshot of the submission.
