Adding and Removing SFTP SSH Keys

When SFTP authentication is set to SSH Key, Egnyte supports modern, industry-standard cryptographic key types configured to meet contemporary enterprise security requirements.

SFTP SSH Keys

Each user can add up to 5 keys, and each public key must be in OpenSSH format.

To Add a Key

  1. Navigate to Settings > My Profile > My SFTP SSH Keys.  The SFTP SSH key inventory is displayed.

  3. A Delete SSH Key window opens and asks the user to confirm. Click Delete Key to confirm, or Cancel to keep the key.

Deleting a key takes effect immediately. The key can no longer be used to authenticate over SFTP, and this cannot be undone.
