Egnyte Desktop App for Windows is supported on Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), allowing virtual desktop users a similar experience to Egnyte that they have on a physical computer.
Deploying to AVD differs from a standard Windows rollout in a few important ways: the Desktop App must be installed on every session host, it runs in a dedicated VDI mode, and the file cache needs to be planned around FSLogix profile containers. This article does not apply to Desktop App Core for Mac, which does not support AVD.
Prerequisites
Check the following against the environment before planning a deployment.

| CPU | At least one vCPU for every user who may be signed in to a session host concurrently. Workloads involving large files or bulk transfers need more. |
| File Cache | Should be redirected out of the FSLogix profile container onto a local volume. No change to the profile container size is required. |
| Adaptive Block Caching | Due to known issues of drives falling back to Classic mode on the host switch, support in this environment is planned for a future Desktop App release. |
| Updates | Autoupgrade for AVD environment is turned off. Manual updates of Desktop App across session hosts is required. |
